Penwortham School Year Book

The end of an era at primary school, is something to be celebrated! The PTA at Penwortham Primary School, asked me to design a leavers yearbook with a fun, imaginative theme, that the children would love.

I came up with the idea of a journey. The journey from the start of their beginnings at primary school to the end and then the ongoing journey through to their further education. This journey manifested itself through the idea of tube lines. I wanted to make it fun and to reflect school life, so I mixed the elements and colour of tube lines with chalk board backgrounds, childlike fonts and polaroid photographs. The schools logo, of an owl, was worked into the tube line pattern to make it unique and personal to the school. The finished design was also used on autograph books, cupcake toppers and stickers. The yearbook was bright and bold, tactile to touch, with soft touch laminate finishings, with a theme that was relatable. Something that the children could look back on and treasure.
