Important Italian Collection Brochure

This was a bespoke brochure I designed, for an Important Collection of Italian furniture from an historical home, for Sotheby’s.

The brief was simply to design an elegant, premium brochure, to reflect the beauty of the house and the pieces of furniture within it. I decided to make this an over size, tri-fold brochure, because the imagery supplied was so bold and beautiful, it needed to be displayed in such a way as to give them as full as impact as possible. I used full bleed imagery pages, as well as sitting images on a black background, which gave a dramatic, elegant feel. The Italian text was gold foiled so it blended in with the richness and sophistication of the imagery. From the wrought iron gates used in one of the shots, I created a pattern that I wanted to use throughout the brochure, This was subtly done using spot gloss UV, so it was only noticeable in certain light and did not to distract from the imagery. The whole brochure was then finished with a gloss laminate.
